5:47 pm - hi looking for prayers

i'm not really sure where i stand on the subject yet. i'm pretty sure i'm going to be a christian. my name is Jamie and i'm 24, going to be 25 in september.

now that that's out of the way, the really important part.

i have a friend in Alabama. i haven't met him in person or anything yet but i've been talking to him online for a good two-three years. currently he's in ICU at the hospital. He's a born again christian but his boyfriend is pagen. He really needs you're prayers now to get better.

his name is Stephen King *not the auther*. please pray for him. if you can, ask your priest/pasture/bishop/ect to include him in your church prayers. i'll of course be praying for him too. he's 23 and i think he deserves a fighting chance, he's a really nice guy.

1:34 pm - New Community-- Prayer For India!

Greetings one and all,

This community is being established for those who desire to pray for India, have a heart for India, who are Indian (living anywhere), are missionaries in India, or just want to check out what God is doing in that large region. The purpose of this community will be cultural exchange between regions of India (anything from Divali to Desi food recipes to religious/cultural study to Bollywood), understanding, keeping up with news and needs of India, and correspondences between all affiliated with India in some way.

I look forwards to seeing what God will accomplish as we all gather together with one purpose.
--- all welcome to join ---

++will be cross-posted++

as i was going through my prayer jars today, i thought of committing myself to also pray for your best friend/sister/brother. if anyone's willing i want to start a prayer ring where we list down the names (2 people at most) of people we really want to pray for and seriously commit ourselves to pray for these people everyday. we claim their lives and salvation and its about time we commit ourselves seriously. prayer is a powerful weapon and should be maximized. you can write a code name if u cant write the real name. =) thanks.

Something that someone shared to me once before is that every person u pray for is a huge jar, like those huge jars that contained the water Jesus turned into wine. Each time you pray for these people, you're filling those jars with a pail of water. And when that jar is just about ready to overflow to the brim, Jesus comes and transforms the water (your prayers) into wine.

That was awesome. =)

my country is going to have elections for our president in may. one of the leaders of the churches here is running for president. what do you think of church leaders (whether pentecostal, baptist or whatever) getting involved in politics and then claiming that it's God calling them to public service?

sadly, it's given us Christians a bad reputation here because people who claim that they have been called by God to run for so and so position have been considered nuisance candidates and are called crazy.

it's bothered me so because now no one really takes us seriously here, and are even mocking Christians. as Church leaders we know we have responsibilities to lead our flock, but does that include running for positions in the government?

*cross posted in other communities.*

Why is it so easy to share the Gospel with total and complete strangers and so hard to share with people you know? The closer they are to you, the harder it is to share the word with them.

Anyone here can help. about my familyCollapse )

Sorry for the recent cross-posting and insanely long posts. I promise to LJ-cut from now on. I hope you guys dont mind I cross post most my entries. I really want to reach as much people as possible.

12:22 pm - updates updates

been watching the grammys all morning. wonder when there'd be a best christian album award? or if there is, who won?

havent posted in awhile because my mom was admitted in the hospital for an operation and i stayed with her. i really felt calm and peaceful during the entire time, confident that Jesus is in control of the entire thing and that everything that's happening is all according to His plan. Praise God for that. i am so happy that the Lord has been with me and my mom all this time through friends and family who have been praying for her and for the operation.

we'll find out if the tumor is benign or malignant tomorrow, but am not worried at all. i believe God is in total and perfect control of the entire situation.

next, on sunday my church is launching the Purpose Driven Life campaign, and for the next 6 weeks we will focus on the entire book and we are praying that we would be able to invite more and more people to take part of this experience as you would never be the same again.

on that note, if u live in the philippines leave me a comment if u are interested. all the rest please join me in prayer and intercession for the lives of those God has planned for this purpose.

as i write this i am praying for you who's reading this. i want you to know that jesus loves u just as u are... and he loves u so much.

doesnt that make u happy? =)

Some days I feel so wrapped in the things of plastic that surround me... things that so many of us hold so very highly... I fear on these days that I will not be able to untie myself from this consumer misery... the struggle turns and grasps my mind with looking glass value... words words words against you and I and things we've made up so big... the depression of fast food america... the small bodies altered in air brush... the mtv... the casual loveless sex... this internet web... life feels as though it is at halt and nothing is special anymore...

and then there is jesus christ, and there is the holy lord, and the spirit...

and this is peace...

and the is faith...

and this is happiness.

6:08 pm - the Purpose-Driven LIfe

Today the average life span is 25,550 days. thats how long you will live if you are typical. Dont you think it would be a wise use of time to set aside 40 of those days to figure out what God wants you to do with the rest of them?

The Bible is clear that God considers 40 days a spiritually significant time period. Whenever God wanted to prepare someone for His purposes, He took 40 days:

* Noah's life was transformed by 40 days of rain.
* Moses was transformed by 40 days on Mount Sinai.
* The spies were transformed by 40 days in the Promised Land.
* David was transformed by Goliath's 40 day challenge.
* Elijah was transformed when God gave him 40 days of strength from a single meal.
* The entire city of Nineveh was transformed when God gave the people 40 days to change.
* Jesus was empowered by 40 days in the wilderness.
* The disciples were transformed by 40 days with Jesus after His ressurection.

Imagine this…

You are alone

In a room

With no one but Christ.

He looks at you..

You look at Him.

He smiles when you do.

You reach out and take His hand.

He squeezes yours gently.

You tremble slightly,

Part of you doesn’t believe that He’s there…

That’s Him holding your hand,

Looking into your eyes

And smiling straight at you.

You’ve waited your whole life for this,

To have Him like this.

You take a deep breath,

And then you ask,

He already knows

Even before you asked.

“Because I love you,”

He said.

And you believe Him,

Because you know

That He does,

He really does.

So you smile,

And lean your head on His shoulder.

Close your eyes, and sigh.

You are in a room

All alone

With no one but Christ.

Do you want this?

Have you dreamed of this moment?

You can have it…

He can be with you

All the time.

Accept Jesus into your heart

And make Him the Lord of your life.

And you can be in a room

With no one but Christ

All the time…

In your heart.

hi, my name is Nicole, and I love Jesus.

The Gospel According to Mary Magdalene

Chapter Four

22) The Savior said, All nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own roots.

23) For the nature of matter is resolved into the roots of its own nature alone.

24) He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

25) Peter said to him, Since you have explained everything to us, tell us this also: What is the sin of the world?

26) The Savior said There is no sin, but it is you who make sin when you do the things that are like the nature of adultery, which is called sin.

27) That is why the Good came into your midst, to the essence of every nature in order to restore it to its root.

28) Then He continued and said, That is why you become sick and die, for you are deprived of the one who can heal you.

29) He who has a mind to understand, let him understand.

30) Matter gave birth to a passion that has no equal, which proceeded from something contrary to nature. Then there arises a disturbance in its whole body.

31) That is why I said to you, Be of good courage, and if you are discouraged be encouraged in the presence of the different forms of nature.

32) He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

33) When the Blessed One had said this, He greeted them all, saying, Peace be with you. Receive my peace unto yourselves.

34) Beware that no one lead you astray saying Lo here or lo there! For the Son of Man is within you.

35) Follow after Him!

36) Those who seek Him will find Him.

37) Go then and preach the gospel of the Kingdom.

38) Do not lay down any rules beyond what I appointed you, and do not give a law like the lawgiver lest you be constrained by it.

39) When He said this He departed.

11:31 am - Prayer Request for Tonight at 9pm

I am a member of the seekinghisface community and tonight is the big election night for a new head leader. God has given us a very dynamic leadership staff and an annointed ministry. Day to day we face spiritual attacks on all sides, but that does not throw off the plans of God. Hallelujah!

This is to be the first night that almost all the leadership have met together. Tonight at 9pm we seek more than God's chosen for leadership, we seek the Spirit's pouring upon our ministry. We seek a unified one accord Body of Leaders. We seek God's will.

I am praying for God to act upon our ministry like He did in Acts 2.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

We need prayer for spiritual protection by the Blood of Jesus, the Spirit's annointing power, and for discernment. Anything God places on your heart to pray for, please do. You will be serving more than just our leadership Body and the Lord. You'll be serving the entire Body of Seeking His Face Ministries and everyone they interact with.

If you are led, fast on our behalf.

God Bless you and may you seek his face daily.

Love in Christ,

P.S. If you are the moderator and you aren't a member of christianmods, contact me for an invite to the closed community.
